A southern Sunbeam [Junkyard Porn]

Found in the same Texas junkyard as last week's '52 Buick this Sunbeam is a little crunched up but doesn't appear to be beyond repair from this angle. We are guessing this is an example of the more docile Alpine model simply because we can't imagine many people coming across a V8 equipped Tiger in this condition and not immediately dragging it home. Video: 2011 Dodge Charger vs robots

There was a time when math was done with with just a pencil and paper and novels were created on a typewriter. Those things seem completely outdated now, when cars like the Autonomous Audi TTS are climbing Pikes Peak without a man behind the wheel. Dodge has touched on this exact climb into technology with their new 2011 Dodge Charger commercial.

The setting is a bit into the future and illustrates how technology is taking over everything we do in our daily lives. From brushing our teeth to opening our doors, technology will soon lead us by the hand and live our lives for us. The excellent play on this idea is that it will never take over the thrill of driving our cars or, in this case, our Dodge Chargers.

Check out the commercial to see what we mean.

Mitsubishi Heavy to jointly develop, test electric transit bus in Canada

MHI signs aggrement to jointly develop electric transit busMitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), along with the government of Manitoba, Red River College, Canada Manitoba Hydro, New Flyer Industries and Canada ULC have joined up to develop and test an electric transit bus that will feature "advanced battery and charging technologies." MHI will handle developing the prototype bus' lithium-ion battery packs.

The three-year, C$3 million ($3.16 million U.S. at the current exchange rate) electric transit bus project is aimed at developing a battery-powered coach that can tackle cold weather conditions. The goal of the project is to demonstrate that an electric transit bus is more than capable of ferrying passengers around and would be a suitable substitute for some diesel-powered buses in North America.

This project is the first to come out of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in December of 2010 between MHI and the government of Manitoba. The MOU outlines a collaborative framework that will contribute to Manitoba becoming a low-carbon society.
